Has Potential, but Frustrating August 18, 2010 VA Gamer When I saw this game advertised on Amazon, I thought it sounded like a terrific opportunity to play a tactical game on the Wii. Unfortunately, while I was expecting a tactical game similar to Sid Meier's Gettysburg, I got an arcade game that happens to allow you to issue occasional battle commands.
Theoretically, you're supposed to be able to be successful in this game if you send the right units you control after the right units your enemy controls. Unfortunately, the reality is that your units often run ahead, and get themselves killed by enemy units that you never told them to go near.
There are also occasional missions that require you to go arcade style and drive a vehicle or bomber and complete a particular mission with it. For those looking for a tactical game, this is extremely frustrating.
What makes it even more frustrating is the game's biggest flaw, which is the lack of save points. You can be twenty minutes into a thirty minute mission, and if you lose, you have to start all the way back at the beginning again. This is a tremendous waste of time, and completely unnecessary. The programmers could have installed a manual save, or at least a save after each sub-mission is completed.
Overall, I cannot recommend this as a tactical game. If you are looking for an arcade-style game, then it works, but even then it will probably quickly become frustrating when you waste two hours trying to beat the same mission over and over again.
Excellent! April 5, 2010 M. Sarrao (New Mexico, USA) My 11-year-old son LOVES this game. He is an "army"/"military"/tactical game "freak!" He loves these kinds of games, and this one lives up to his expectations. Unfortunately, it is only made for 1 player. There is no 2-player mode, so he won't be able to play with friends.
Awesome!!! February 21, 2010 This game is a fun shooting game, but at the same time a strategy game. This game is really fun!!! Singleplayer is a blast. You can always go back and replay a level. Eventually singleplayer will get boring after a month or two but it is still really fun to play. The machines for land, air, and water are all creative and fun to play in. Multiplayer is really fun. You can play in co-op, which is when you team up with someone online and fight against a cpu, assualt, which is when you play against someone online and you have to complete objectives, and my favorite skirmish. Skirmish is when you fight against someone online and you battle it out. There is a certain amount of time and you get points whenever you defeat an enemy unit, depending on the type of unit you destoyed. The best thing about this game is that you can be a unit and you can order the other units of yours what to do. It's also really fun because right then and there you can change who you are. You can change your unit type. This game is a blast. Get it.

My 10 year olds opinion August 5, 2009 Lauri A. Bell (Maryland) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is really good because you get to be one team first... then you can become the enemy team. There are flash backs and campaigns that become confusing but in the end, all teams come together to defeat the bad guys. The ending is the hardest level. You try to avoid gunfire as you go on towards the next gold star. I really love this game.
